DRIVE A ROUTE: Drive a route to homes of our meal recipients using your vehicle. Detailed written driving instructions are provided.
Time Required: 11:15am to 1:00pm any weekday.
Qualifications: A safe driving record and possession of a valid NYS Driver’s License and proper Auto Insurance. Ability to follow written directions. Desire to help our homebound neighbors. Ability to be appreciated! |
SERVE ON A ROUTE: Delivery servers accompany a driver and deliver the meals to the doors of each meal recipient on a route. Detailed written instructions are provided.
Time Required: 11:15am to 1:00pm any weekday.
Qualifications: Ability to follow written directions. Ability to get in an out of vehicles easily. Desire to help our homebound neighbors. Ability to accept a daily thank you and a smile from those you help!

HELP IN THE KITCHEN: Assist the Meals on Wheels Food Service Staff in the kitchen by packaging hot and cold meals.
Time Required: 8:00 or 8:30 am to 11:00am any weekday.
Qualifications: No food service experience needed. Our professional staff will train you on-site over a very brief time. Enjoy working as part of a team. Desire to help our homebound neighbors. Ability to have some fun while doing some good! |
SUBSTITUTE DRIVER OR SERVER: Drive a route, serve on a route, work in the kitchen as a substitute when you are available. You are periodically contacted from a substitute list to fill vacancies.
HOLIDAY DRIVER, SERVER, KITCHEN VOLUNTEER: Meals on Wheels is open all weekdays except New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Christmas Day, and Thanksgiving Day. Volunteer on your non-working holidays. |
